Host Arrigo confirmed at the top of his class

The only man named after a bar smiles. Arrigo Cipriani, the son of the general
founder of Harry's Bar, talks about himself and his famous establishment:
"My father taught me everything, because he invented everything. Truly, I
think I am one of his inventions," he proudly says. "When I was born, just
one year after Harry's Bar opened, my life's work was already cut out for me.
I had to put aside my dreams of becoming a Formula One racing pilot and
enroll in university. I divided my time between my scarce interest for law and
my enthusiasm for Harry's Bar. I didn't begin working out of vocation. I'm a
barman by family tradition. I finally graduated however, and then I went to
America, and in 1957 I took up residence in Venice and the place of my father,
who was supervising the construction of the Hotel Cipriani on the island of
Giudecca at the time....it wasn't easy but I paid my dues in the business."
With his characteristic enthusiasm, will power, and especially "new ideas",
Arrigo continues bearing the flag his father left him.
